During that time she had the opportunity to train at Broadway Dance Center in NYC, with Bob McCollum of Canada’s National Ballet School and with Rebecca Lazier (New York). She completed the Maritime Dance Academy teacher training program and her CDTA exams in ballet, jazz and tap.
Alyssa also spent many years performing with the Maritime Dance Performance Group, and in more recent years the 30 Something Dance Co-op.
Along with Directing Studio 26, Alyssa has spent the last few years working with youth in the church directing praise dance ministries. During this time they have had the opportunity to dance at various churches throughout Nova Scotia.
Throughout the years Alyssa has developed a love for teaching dance and has been teaching all over the HRM for the past 15 years.

Grace began her dance training at the age of 3 in Dartmouth, NS.
Her first teacher being her older sister Alyssa, she always had a dance influence around to keep her inspired. Grace has trained in ballet, jazz, ballroom, and hip hop ever since.
Over the past 6 years she has danced for a local competitive youth Hip hop dance team as well as with The Woods Hip Hop Company. Learning to improve in the style has helped her find her true love for dance, and has influenced her to grow in the area of teaching as well.
About 6 years ago when Studio 26 started, she began teaching hip hop and has enjoyed it so much she now teaches multiple hip hop classes and choreographs in hip hop, contemporary, and jazz.
Grace is inspired by her students and all of the dancers that she encounters everyday.
Studio 26 is a very big part of her life and she is very thankful for it.
